The guest article below couldn’t be a more excellent lead-in to what we having coming your way this Thursday (November 19th): another LWL Investigative Report, this time not about the foolery that goes on behind the scenes in the ‘self-help’ arena, but about RELATIONSHIPS.

That’s right… as the masses take certain aspects of relationship-based personal development to some head-scratching extremes, we’re going to tackle the issue of how the cryptic term “unconscious commitment” is used to justify failure, or condemn and control somebody else.

So, be on the lookout for our 20-page report, Committed To Commitment, on Thursday.

Below, Roy H. Williams gives his view of “commitment,” as it relates to experiencing life in all its glory. Since everything we do in this life — or nearly everything — is about relating to others, we want to pass this on as a sorta preparatory read for what we’ll be staggering you with in two days.

My Holiday Gift To You… For Real

By Roy H. Williams

Tom Hennen has a line in his poem, The Life of a Day, that says,

“We examine each day before us with barely a glance and say, ‘no, this isn’t one I’ve been looking for,’ and wait in a bored sort of way for the next, when we are convinced, our lives will start for real.”

That line is a little bit frightening because you read it and realize you’re guilty. You’ve been waiting for that day when your life will start “for real.”

The trouble with life is that it’s just so daily.

I share this with you because I’ve been thinking about my two grandfathers who are dead and my father who is likewise and I’ve come to the obvious conclusion:

Live while you have the chance.

“Papa was a rolling stone. Wherever he laid his hat was his home…” – The Temptations, 1971

In the final moments of his life, my father scribbled a note for me to find. In barely legible pencil he scrawled, “All the little things in life add up to your life. If you don’t get it right then nothing else matters. It gets lonely in the promised land by yourself.”

My Dad died lonely, I think, because he never made deep commitments. My father’s confession of his loneliness makes me sad, but his scribbled note tells me he wanted me to learn from his mistake.

I meet a lot of people who sigh deeply and say they’re looking for their passion, something to set their souls on fire and send beams of light shining out through their eyes.

But the people with light shining from their eyes know this….

Passion does NOT produce commitment.
Commitment produces passion.

Solomon, that wise king, spent years of his life searching for passion. In chapter 9 of the chronicle of that search, the book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon writes, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.”

People read that and think Solomon is saying, “Eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow you may die,” but that’s not it at all. He’s saying, “Throw your whole heart into whatever you do. Live while you have the chance.”

This is my Holiday gift to you,
I hope you will receive it:

Find something that needs to be done
and throw yourself headlong into it.

Let today
be the day
your life begins
for real.

Roy H. Williams

“May you live all the days of your life.”

A few weeks ago, I wrote about the renegade pitchmen, Billy Mays and Vince Offer. I mentioned how I liked Vince’s on-air style better than Billy’s… and the next day, tragically, Billy Mays died.

Okay, I admit, that was a little spooky, to say the least. And sure, once he died, I felt kinda bad for saying I wasn’t a fan of the way Billy yelled at me in my own living room (from the TV). But I did make it clear that after watching several episodes of The Pitchmen, I had really grown to respect Billy as a businessman.

The day before Billy died, his son (Billy Mays III) sent me a message on Twitter saying he had read my blog post, and thought it was well-written. He also mentioned there was a personal aspect between Billy and Vince that I probably didn’t know about.

Hey, Billy III’s a good kid. He was one of my favorite people on The Pitchmen.

And that’s really what today’s article is all about…

= = = = =

Recently I wrote 10 back-to-school articles for Education.com, as a freelance writer. They’re all about how we can help our children do better in school… but not just by studying with them or giving them a place to do homework uninterrupted.

Most of my articles, not surprisingly, had an aspect of inner work about them. Overcoming fears and rejection, raising self-esteem, encouraging independent thinking… and Teach Your Child Personal Development.

When our children come into this world, they arrive as an empty cup, and it’s up to us to fill it with the best quality liquid we can.

Relationships, and how we interact with others, are vitally important in this lifetime. That’s what we come here to experience. Some people strive for fame and fortune instead… but of course, fame and fortune are not a replacement for human relationships. ANY human relationships.

A local businessman that Barry and I know is one of several brothers, and their father is a well-known “Christian” radio talk show host and entrepreneur. For their entire childhood, that father told the kids that they should have done better in this and that, no matter what they achieved. Now, while the other brothers followed in the father’s footsteps, the one we know still holds resentment over it, and has gone the complete opposite way.

And yet they’re all very successful, and our friend is the best in his field at what he does.

So, is pushing your children to do the best they can admirable? Or despicable? Is that tough love? Or just critical brow-beating?

At the opposite end of the spectrum, there was a trend a few years ago of giving blue ribbons or trophies to all the kids in team sports, whether they won or lost. The idea was to make them feel good for what they did… but it ended up teaching them that they should be rewarded for everything, no matter how hard they try (or don’t) and no matter what they achieve.

As a result, a whole generation of young people entered the work force expecting a free ride… to get paid when they didn’t put out any effort.

So is championing our children’s achievements, no matter how small, productive? Or counter-productive?

Or does it all just depend on the child? And if so… how do we know how what we do now will affect that child for the rest of his life?

I really think it depends on how it’s done. Certainly, celebrate the successes with gusto, but don’t be afraid to let the failures be reminders that not everything in life can go our way. The Universe is in a constantly adjusting balance, and every positive is countered by an equal and opposite negative. That’s just the way it is.

And letting our children feel the sting of disappointment is just as important as letting them feel the ecstasy of achievement.

Back to the point about fame and fortune:

In the few weeks before Billy Mays died, so did a whole slew of other well-known celebrities. First it was David Carradine. Then Ed McMahon. Then Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett.

And most of them went through troubled times. Carradine was an alcoholic, McMahon was deeply in debt, Fawcett was battling cancer, and Jackson… well, Jackson was Jackson. ‘Nuff said!

Whether or not you like to admit it, all of these celebrities influenced our lives one way or another. They entertained us, or they sold us household cleansers (that really work!), or they were pinups on our bedroom walls. Hey, to this day, I have yet to meet anyone who doesn’t feel like getting up and dancing — or at least tapping their feet — when they hear the opening strains of the Jackson 5‘s “I Want You Back”.

They all left a legacy, showed drive and ambition, and had the ability to DO rather than just THINK their way to success. They all did the best they could while they were here.

But what about their relationships?

Michael Jackson was terrorized by his father, Joe, but reportedly was a great dad. Billy Mays was away on the road for most of Billy III’s childhood, but made up for it later. Farrah Fawcett had an up-and-down relationship with her troubled son, and yet left most of her millions to him. David Carradine and his actor father, John, both went through numerous divorces during their lives, but had some long-term marriages in the mix.

Again, it’s about the Universe being in balance… you just can’t have all ups.

And fame and fortune just doesn’t change that.

However, fame and fortune, even on a small scale, can certainly help you leave a legacy. And it can help you make a difference in others’ lives.

As a result, yes, it really is possible to have fame, fortune, AND quality relationships. You just have to expect the ups to come with the downs, and be okay with that instead of trying to hide under a fake veil of positivity.

You don’t have to shun money in favor of love, or vice versa. As Barry likes to say, “Love makes the world go round, but money pays for the trip.”

Who has more freedom… someone who’s broke? Or someone who has the funds to do what they want, when they want?

Who has more ability to help others… someone with money? Or someone who has neither money nor time to give, because they’re constantly slaving away, spending one to get the other?

Who has more ability to inspire the world… someone who’s in the public spotlight, that people pay attention to? Or someone who’s organizing a group of people to pray and send out positive thoughts?

The bottom line is, just as we need to encourage and teach our kids how to be their best, while taking disappointments in stride, we also need to help others on a grander scale. Humans are creative beings, and we come here to learn, grow, develop… and teach others what we know.

Sure, there are some of you who will say, “We don’t have to teach (or learn) anything, because we already know all there is!” And, well, yeah… that’s true on a spiritual level. But we’re talking about our physical life here, and as a human being, you DON’T know everything there is. It’s buried so deep in your subconscious, or so high in your superconscious, that you just can’t access it until you learn it again. Once you do, then you can teach it.

Teaching your children is a great start. Now what about pushing a bit further outside your comfort zone, and teaching friends… or strangers?

Write a blog. Create an e-book. Teach a class. You have skills and talents that nobody else on this planet has, and there are people who want to learn them.

When you pass on, back to the spirit plane, what are you going to leave behind? How many others will you have helped? Inspired? Motivated? Taught? Or pushed into action?

What are they going to say about you when you’re gone?

As the group Nickelback says, in “If Today Was Your Last Day”:

Against the grain should be a way of life,
What’s worth the price is always worth the fight.
Every second counts ’cause there’s no second try,
So live like you’re never living twice.
Don’t take the free ride in your own life.

There are some other great lyrics in this song, too… it’s probably their most motivational song, and the video has some very inspirational scenes at the end:

If today was your last day, what would you do differently? How would you treat your kids, your spouse, your partner, your friends, your business associates?

What would you teach people? And how would you do it?

With March Madness (aka “The Big Dance”) fast underway (I’m watching first round play as I type this), I couldn’t think of a better time to re-post this video.

We briefly made mention of this last year, but I want to expand on it just a tad more today.

This yearly 64-team college basketball tournament brings something across the T.V. screen that is rare these days.

It’s called: Inspiration !

= = = = = = =

Nowhere do you see more energy, more enthusiasm, more gut-level determination, and more passion as you do throughout this 3-week event.

And, while I’ll admit March Madness might grip my inner-psyche a little tighter than yours (basketball played a major role in my development — if that’s the case for you too, I want to hear about it via the comments section of this post), you still can’t help but wonder:

“Wow, what drives these kids to give it their all?”

“How do these underdog teams prepare, emotionally & mentally, for a physical challenge ahead?”

“What does the coach say to push his players beyond their beliefs about what’s possible?”

I’ve had the pleasure of hearing many a great speech, during my high school and military days, and like all great speeches, they come when the coach can see something in his players that they can’t see in themselves. The best speeches are always inspired by the purpose for experiencing greatness…. if even just for one bright, shining moment.

Yes, basketball is a fantastic team sport, and when young players are fortunate enough to have a coach who not only teaches the game, but about life itself, it’s the best darn education ever.

Via the “Barry’s Story” section inside our Online Manifestation Portal, I share some stories about my experiences with my Coach, Steve King. However, via today’s post, I’m going to share with you one of the most inspiring, uplifting, and to-the-point videos about how to get from where you are to where yo want to be.

Coach Jimmy V. – Master of His Destiny

When Jimmy Valvano was 17 years old he took out a simple white index card and wrote down all of his professional aspirations. He would play basketball in high school and college, become an assistant basketball coach, then a head coach, achieve a victory in Madison Square Garden, and finally cut down the nets after winning a National Championship. Coach V’s ability to see his place in the world with such clarity was truly a gift. This simple card, coupled with a strong belief that he could control his fate, would guide the next ten years of his life.

At the age of 36, Jimmy V. could take out his tattered index card and cross out every single dream. He was indeed the master of his destiny. Along the way, he adopted a personal philosophy for living that enabled an ordinary man to accomplish the extraordinary. Coach V. believed that enthusiasm for life, dreaming big, and working hard were the elements that allowed him to be successful. There is no doubt that Coach V.’s tenacity, passion, and vision played key roles in his rise to the top. However, listen to any individual recount a personal memory of him, and nothing from the above list of accomplishments would be mentioned. Instead, you would hear of the qualities that made Coach V. unforgettable.

This video of Coach V. — some say one of the most famous in sports-awards history — is something I encourage (no, “command”) you to watch from start to finish:

( * if the video doesn’t play for you, try switching browsers temporarily — i.e., from FireFox to Internet Explorer — or updating your Adobe FLASH )

If you want to dive deeper into what Coach V. phrased as “how to go from where you are to where you want to be,” another coach named Dov Baron can help you out… at no charge.

I like to affectionately call him “The John Wayne of Manifestation”… and he’s not a sports coach, but a life coach and renowned mentor and author that you may have heard me mention before.

Yes, Heather and I have interviewed Dov numerous times (both separately and together), and he always makes deep metaphysical concepts easy to grasp for everyone who listens in.

Now he’s got a free e-book out called Getting What You Want… To Want You!

We’d like you to be able to get your hands on this gift, and discover the science and reality behind what sometimes might seem like fantasy… creating the life of your dreams.

So go ahead and download it now, to increase your ability for consciously Getting What You Want… To Want You!

Aah, St. Patrick’s Day. The day when the “luck o’ the Irish” smiles upon us all.

But what is luck, exactly? And why do successful people repeatedly say they don’t believe in luck… and yet they tell stories of “coincidences”, “synchronicity”, “out-of-the-blue opportunities” or “magical occurences” that, to the average person, just add up to plain old LUCK?

Yes, some people say that LUCK is actually an acronym for Laboring Under Correct Knowledge. But usually when we label something a “lucky break”, there was not a lot of “labor” involved. So perhaps a better acronym would be Living Under Correct Knowledge.

Because really, luck (and synchronicity, and amazing opportunities) are all about how we approach life.

It’s all about what we think, feel and do on a day-to-day basis… that one day just adds up to BOOM! A “lucky break”!

Just like it takes many years to make an “overnight success”, it also takes time to make a “lucky break” — even if in the small picture perspective, it seems to have happened suddenly. In the big picture, things that seem “sudden” really never are.

For a hard-hitting example of this, we’d like to share a guest article with you today.

Click below to read it…

Mrs. Suzuki Just HATED to Wait
by Charles Burke

She was an impatient person, they said.

Everybody who worked with Mrs. Suzuki agreed that she was always in a hurry. And she especially hated to wait for the elevator.

Shinjuku train station, where she worked in a small kiosk, is one of the busiest spots in Tokyo, and in the world. Between two and three million people pass through the station each day, so sometimes the elevators can take a while to arrive.

Of course, Mrs. Suzuki was a hurry-up kind of person anyway. She did everything quickly and efficiently, because there was always so much to do in such a busy setting.

At about 9:00 on the morning of October 4th 1997, witnesses say that she hurried over to the elevator, pushed to the front of the small crowd of waiting people, and repeatedly pressed the already-lit Down button.

As always, she hated waiting for the elevator.

But on that morning, unlike every other morning, she got her wish.

When the bell rang and the doors began to part, she quickly pushed her way in.

And discovered that the elevator had not arrived yet.

She fell to her death.

Witnesses say Mrs. Suzuki made no sound as she fell. They only heard the meaty thump when her body hit bottom. So we don’t know what she was thinking as she fell.

We don’t know if she was elated that — finally — she hadn’t had to wait for the elevator to arrive. Or she may have realized, too late, that all her impatience was merely a way of wishing for reality to somehow be different.

We don’t know any of that. We only know she was so occupied with getting to her next objective that she forgot to do a reality check on the way.

Many of the errors we make during the day are easily correctable. Occasionally, however, life presents us with the opportunity to make a really big change. Sometimes that big change can be a big mistake. Something we won’t walk away from. But we usually get those kinds of “opportunities” only if we absolutely, bull-headedly insist.

We may believe the axiom that thoughts have power, but how responsible are we in the application of that power? How carefully do we select our thoughts?

Life (or our higher self, guardian angel, God, the universe) usually leaves a little slack between our wishes and what we get.

But once in a while, life just goes ahead and gives us exactly what we’ve been insisting upon.

The power that we all have to turn thoughts into reality is a wonderful gift. And life, through this gift, blesses us richly every day.

Sometimes, however, we may practice a blind, inflexible insistence that “I want things this way, and this way ONLY!”

It’s true that this is a flexible, malleable universe — more flexible than we can ever imagine — but everything, including irresponsibility, has a price. That price changes constantly.

Luckily, the price is usually fairly manageable.

But now and then the price jumps wildly up or down. And when that happens, doors open magically. Sometimes even elevator doors.

People say: “Be careful what you wish for; you might get it.” I would add: be careful HOW you wish.

Because, when that door DOES open, whatever is on the other side is directly related to the long-term trend of your own thoughts, feelings and spiritual input.

What do you spend your time wishing for — all those little wishes that, together, make up the trend of your daily thinking?

Please… don’t waste your wishes on elevators. Because sometimes the price changes, and doors open magically.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Charles Burke is the author of “Command More Luck“, a book offering powerful suggestions for getting more cooperation from life, luck, and your own mind, especially in uncertain times.
Whether you call it synchronicity, serendipity, or just plain old luck, you CAN become more “naturally lucky.”
LWLWorldwide.net/luck
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Charles Burke started life decidedly “unlucky”… one of those guys who could have 3 or 4 flat tires in a day and not think anything of it, because it was the experience he was used to.

He turned it all around, discovered what luck truly means to the most successful people in the world… and became one himself (realizing that his preconceived ideas of luck were no longer valid).

His e-book, Command More Luck (which comes with 7 bonus advanced reports), is an utter steal at less than $40.

And while it may seem we’re talking in circles slightly, by prompting you to get Charles’ e-book (after all… didn’t we tell you to STOP improving your life in the last blog post?), we can promise we’re not out to confuse you.

Here’s the finer message behind yesterday’s title: it is actually NOT about stopping so much as it about understanding that life gets better, and wisdom sinks in DEEPER, when you learn to treat yourself better.

Whether that means taking bigger breaks, forking out money for weekly massages, or karate-chopping your own self-sabotaging habits, LIVING still means being fascinated with LIFE, but doing it from a place of child-like amusement, instead of professor-like sincerity:

When it comes to experiencing the Midas touch (your own way of being in the flow with all that you do), it can’t happen when you’re so consumed in the details of “spiritual law” that you feel anything outside of what you’ve ALREADY studied, or immersed yourself into too intensely, is hog-wash.

How do you KNOW that what you’ve read, studied or learned is true?

The best way we know is to look at the results… and whether those results have you living the life you truly desire.

And by the same token, how do you KNOW what luck is — or what it can be to you?

Where has luck (good, bad, ugly or otherwise) played a role in your life lately?

So many people seem to think luck is something that happens by random chance — that it can’t be created or controlled.

But, the slimy rub on that false premise is usually one sour plate of denial and a convenient crutch for not wanting to put in the investment (time, energy, and/or money… after all, it’s easier to watch T.V., isn’t it?) for understanding the raw invisible power that can take us from mediocre to magnificent manifestors.

This book, without question, will put it in a whole NEW perspective for you, and most likely will allow you to start feeling the energetic little leprechaun hiding inside you.

So the next time you feel like you’re rushing through life, not doing reality checks, not stopping to appreciate the breezes or smell the roses, and thinking you’re actually Laboring Under Correct Knowledge because that’s what you’ve been taught your whole life… take a step back.

Figuratively — from the chaos you’ve created so you can see the order in it — AND literally — from the edge of the elevator shaft, so you’re engaging life with eyes wide open.

As you get to know us better you’ll come to understand that helping people, and doing our best to change the world one person at a time, is our overriding mission at this site.

It’s all about SERVING …

We SERVE by researching.

We SERVE by interviewing.

We SERVE by writing.

We SERVE by teaching.

We SERVE by not falling into the status quo.

We SERVE by keeping things candid, straightforward, and refreshingly REAL.

We SERVE by not offering you the standard, regurgitated, G-Rated “spiritual rhetoric” that so permeates the self-growth arena.

We SERVE by being passionate about what we do, and sharing what we find along the way.

And, we SERVE by doing all the above with a genuine “love of the game” attitude.

Yes, these experiences we partake in — you too — are nothing more or less than “games” of the heart, mind, and soul.

= = =

Regardless of what the spiritual pundits say, the purpose of any game — whether business game, relationship game, athletic game, or board game — is to WIN.

Some have said that Life isn’t a game that can be WON or LOST, only played.

But, we beg to differ.

Certainly, unlike all other man-made games, Life doesn’t have a definitive rule book telling us what the game is all about.

Nonetheless, it’s still a competition. You’re up against other players’ (humans’) ideas, rules, creations, and initiatives every day.

And sometimes your biggest competitor is yourself.

Yep, no doubt… each day you face serious burdens. Maybe you don’t make enough money. Your love life is boring. You hate your work.

Perhaps you dislike where you live. Your coworkers are unfriendly. You do things you regret. Ahh, well, you get the point. You, like us, face lifestyle, business, and personal obstacles daily.

So, if you finally decide to do something about it, what do you do?

Here’s a thought…

Go all the way by PLAYING TO IMPROVE.

But, have fun (and explore) while doing it.

If this current life experience is nothing more than a virtual-reality game that you might play in your living room on your X-box 360, then doesn’t it make sense to give it all you’ve got?

Why go half way?

See, you truly DO win at life when you’re doing THREE main things EVERYDAY.

This is what John Milton Fogg, in the book The Grestest Networker in The World, dubbed as “accomplishing accomplishment.”

According to John, all three ingredients MUST be present to accomplish accomplishment:

Ingredient #1) You Get Results (if not: no satisfaction)

Ingredient #2) You Learn, Grow, and Develop (if not: you get left behind)

Ingredient #3) You Have Fun (if not: you burn out)

If just one or two of the above ingredients are being utilized, you’re losing.

To WIN every day, all three must be present.

Who do you know that’s been in a situation where they were getting results, they learned something new, but didn’t have any fun?

Maybe that was (or is) you!

Or, maybe you know people who learn, grow and attempt to develop their butt off… but aren’t getting results. That could either be the business person not “increasing sales” or the monastery monk who isn’t engaging in modern-day life.

Yes, RESULTS count in the mix of this experience you’ve put yourself in. Don’t let any well-meaning, but nearsighted, sage, guru, or so-called wiseman (or woman) tell you otherwise.

There’s more to the game of life than just trying to play things safe, striving for perpetual bliss, or engaging in Utopian people-pleasing activities.

Competition, which truly is at the very foundation of your life (you just need to see it), involves challenge, risk, adapation, and inner resourcefulness.

If you’re not striving for something, if you’re not creating, if you’re not offering value to others, if you’re not questioning things you’ve been told (including what we’re saying here), if you’re constantly trying to just “fit in”, if you’re just going through the motions, if you’re not exploring your inner AND outer world — in deep, deep ways — you’re LOSING at the game of life.

So yes, when they say, “It’s not whether you win or lose, it’s how you play the game,” they’re right. But how you play the game needs to be the best you can play, giving all you’ve got to the world in the process; and if you can do that, then you have won.

Throw that ball as far as you can. Spin that wheel as fast as you can. Draw the cards as skillfully as you can. Know when to hold ‘em, know when to fold ‘em, know when to walk away, and know when to run.

But never, never give up.

A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins.

One of our favorite tools for playing the best darn game we can, day in and day out, is the brainwave entrainment meditation MP3.

But we like it shaken, not stirred. With a little pizzazz, a little show, a little glitz and glamor. We like the world’s only music-based brainwave entrainment audios found at Harmonic Ascension.

And it seems one of our Harmonic Ascension audios is the new favorite tool of your fellow community member, James Murphy, too.

Here’s the unsolicited testimonial he just left in our forum:

Hi Jody, Merry Christmas. I hope you had a great one. I just wanted to thank you for the free downloads. I wanted to comment on Eureka for just a second.

I play poker online as a semi pro, it’s my second job. I stay home and take care of my 2 year old daughter and play at night. I had been on a bad losing streak. I was playing poorly, not just getting unlucky, as is usually the case if I’m losing.

So I thought, why not put on your Eureka meditation while I play. Maybe it will help me focus. WOW!!!!! I can’t believe what a difference it made. I have never played better.

Before that I was unsure of where I stood in any given hand, second guessing myself at every turn. I put the headphones on and almost instantly I was locked in. I seemed to know where I stood in each hand. If I was ahead I knew it, behind, I knew it. I was reading people better than I had ever done in the past. This is online poker, so you get even less info on players than live, obviously. But there are tells even online.

I went from a massive losing streak to a streak of cashing in my next 5 games! I took 3rd twice, second in the next, and then I won the next 2 outright!

There is no way this is a coincidence, I have played enough to know. I will now be playing every game with Eureka on my headphones, because now 2 nights in a row I have been on top of my game like never before. Thanks for the gift, I have been telling my friends about it as much as possible. Take care, and Happy New Year

Sincerely, James Murphy

Are you ready for your own Eureka moment?

To get the meditation audio James refers to, as your FREE gift from us — and to get access to a bunch more at an incredible price — just click here:

(We are also giving you a free meditation that mimics a cats’ purr, and in the video you’ll be watching in a minute, Heather and Barry tell you why.)

Or, if you’ve been meditating your butt off for months and are ready to tap into a real-world, hands-on, do-what-you-love-and-the-money-will-follow multi-media resource, here’s what we recommend above all others for building your own leveraged lifestyle:

Yesterday Barry posted a video from a man who inspired many; and who passed away, losing his battle with cancer, shortly after it was shot.

And he invited you to visit our forum and answer a question that Jody posed to our members:

“If Today was the last day on earth you would ever have, what would you be doing?”

( Share your thoughts on this forum thead )

Ironically (or “coincidentally”… even though there’s no such thing as a coincidence, and perhaps no such thing as irony) as he was posting that article, we heard the news that our friend and colleague, Jason Oman, had suffered a brain aneurysm and was lying unconscious in the hospital.

Jason’s a young guy, and the news was a shocker.

Even now, as he awaits surgery, it’s hard to get the thought out of my mind that we never know what’s going to happen tomorrow. We never know if today is our last day on earth, or if we’ll have thousands more. We don’t know if we’re going to be well or sick this time next week; whether we’ll face an accident, or sudden onset of a terminal disease.

= = = = =

But as I type the words “awaits surgery”, I wonder what that really means. Consciously, I don’t think Jason’s capable of “awaiting” anything right now; perhaps he doesn’t even know what happened. And when I say that, of course, I’m referring to the Jason that is on earth; the human Jason, the one most of us knew best if we met him once or twice.

So now I turn my focus to the spiritual Jason, his higher self, the true being that he is. Is that Jason awaiting surgery? Is he awaiting many more years of serving others, and brightening lives the way Jason has always done? Or is he awaiting the end?

I’m not expecting Jason to pass over now. He’s full of energy and vigor, and he has too much left to do on this planet.

But again… how do we ever know if it’s our time?

After interviewing hundreds of spiritual teachers, I have formed the belief that we come to this life with a set of challenges we want to overcome. For our higher selves, it’s like a game… and the more challenging the better.

For our human selves, we stress and get angry over the same challenges that make our higher selves smile.

So when we inevitably pass back over, and leave this life… what do our higher selves do? What do they think?

Are they happy to be back in a form where they have access to their full abundant power again? Or do they miss the challenges and intrigue of not knowing the power is there?

Do they say, “Good job, that was a great life”? Or do they look at the virtual “To Do” list we brought with us at birth, and say, “I didn’t accomplish this and this… well, I guess I’ll have to try again.”

I’m not sure if it’s possible to answer those questions until it’s our time to move on… and I’m not sure we want to.

What we can answer is, what can we accomplish while we’re here? What impact can we make in this world? What lives can we influence for the better? What value can we bring to the planet?

If you knew your time was about to end… and that you might be examining your own life-long “To Do” list next week… what would you do differently?

As for Jason, he taught people how to create Money on Demand. And he helped people with something to say reach a bigger audience, by turning their books into best-sellers.

He’s best known for co-authoring Conversations With Millionaires, along with Mike Litman.

I met Jason for the first time when we spoke together at an event a few months ago; but as is common in this industry, we “knew” each other before that — first we had heard about each other, and what the other was doing, and then we started talking by email.

Shortly after that, I interviewed him about creating Money on Demand, and that interview is part of the “Heather’s Conversations” section in the Manifest Life Multi-Media Portal.

In fact, one member told us it was the best interview he had ever heard.

As a special gift to you, in honor of Jason and his family, please listen to it as our guest:

If you would like to hear Jason’s wisdom and more… including over 60 hours of other interviews with top mentors, not to mention the video and print resources you’ll find there… the Manifest Life portal is waiting to open to you.

It’s a great way to celebrate your own mortality — or rather, your immortality — by pushing yourself as far as you can while you’re here.

And I know Jason would love to know that he touched one more life.

Please keep him in your hearts as he goes through this tough time.
